In recent years (prior to covid) we have taken all of the children to see the Cinderella pantomime and classes have been to watch Annie, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Gangsta Granny at the Sheffield Lyceum. Closer to home, children have visited the Barnsley Civic at Christmas time to watch Jack Frost.
This January, we were all very excited to be going back to the theatre! 161 of us travelled to Leeds on three coaches to watch Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! Watching words brought to life in front of us was amazing and such a brilliant cultural experience. We can't wait for our next theatre visit which is in June for KS1 and October 2023 for KS2.
Our children were a real credit to Greenfield Primary School. Their enthusiasm for the show was clear on their faces and so many of the children were mesmerised throughout. Big cheers could be heard through the venue at the end of the show. Memories that will last a lifetime.
