To inspire our learning this term we had some superhero visitors in class.
Our focus book has been Supertato written by Sue Hendra and Paul Limnet. They have lots more books in the series, can you find any in the library?
The vegetables were great for imaginative play and we enjoyed building dens, castles and traps in the loose parts area.
Then chaos began.... Evil Pea had been up to no good over the weekend!
The broccoli had been caught and hung from the ceiling, it looked very dizzy!
Evil Pea was not kind, he was causing trouble and needed to be stopped.
How could we stop all this?
We decided we should call Supertato!!
But then we received a letter from Supertato and he was in a different country so couldn't help his vegetable friends.
Only the Busy Bears could help, and we did!
We got to work making our own army of Supertato's.
We explored a variety of materials to make belts, capes and eyes.
We busily cut, stuck and fastened, deciding and thinking critically about which fastenings and tools would be best.
Some of us designed superhero belt buckles for them too.
And then our Supertatoes saved the vegetables around the classroom!
Well done Busy Bears you helped Supertato and saved the Vegetables from Evil Pea!
