We have been reading the story called Oliver's Vegetables.
We found out that Oliver is lucky enough to eat vegetables from his grandads garden.
We decided that we wanted to eat lots of different vegetables too.
We thought it would be nice to make our own soup.
We decided to walk to Tesco to choose and buy the vegetables to use to make our soup.
We made a list before we went. We sounded out the letters we needed and we used our Fred Fingers to help us with our spellings!
We held hands with our partners and put our high-vis jackets on to make sure we were safe!
Mr Watson and Mrs Ogden stopped the traffic for us so it was safe to cross the road.
We always remembered to STOP LOOK and LISTEN!
When we arrived we used our lists to buy the ingredients we needed to make soup.
We made sure we used the baskets and the small bags to put the vegetables in and keep them safe.
We carefully placed the ingredients on the conveyor belt. The shop assistant was very friendly and talked to us about what we were going to make. We handed her the money, took our change and packed our bags using the bags from class.
We had a fantastic time at Tesco.
We bought carrots, parsnips, potatoes, onions, broccoli and tomatoes.
Even Barnaby Bear enjoyed himself!
