Baking Gingerbread

After reading 'The Gingerbread Man' we made our own Gingerbread Men and some Gingerbread Hearts.

We added sugar, butter, flour, ginger and golden syrup. 

We had to measure our ingredients on the weighing scales.

We then used a spoon and our hands to mix all the ingredients together. 

We squashed the dough flat, rolled it out and cut out our gingerbread men and hearts.  We decorated our gingerbread men with chocolate drops. 

We had large, medium and small hearts. 

They did smell delicious when they were baking!
