Fantastic Forest

This week we went looking for birds and food for birds in the forest.  We heard lots of birds singing and tweeting, we saw them flying too. 

But we didn't find any berries for them to eat.

So we made them some feeders by threading cheerios onto pipe cleaners.  We were counting, measuring, and we made different shapes with our pipe cleaners before hanging them in the trees. 

We had great fun on the mud slide too.

We were determined to get to the top, and had to use the rope to pull ourselves up, as it was so slippery.

We were so proud of ourselves when we reached the top, and we we loved coming back down! 

When looking for birds we wanted to know which birds they were, so we took our identification sheets with us. 

We saw a Robin, he came onto a branch near us! 

On our way back to nursery we fed the chickens too.

They didn't like the cheerios on pipe cleaners, but when we took them off they were eating them from the floor.
