Official Library Opening: November 2024

Information for parents / carers

To celebrate our new library, Ian McMillan will be coming to school on Thursday 14^th November to officially open it.  We shared this news with the children in assembly on Friday and we are all really excited!

Poetry Focus

The week commencing 11^th November, the whole school will focus on poetry in their English lessons.

The children will take part in an online poetry workshop with Michael Rosen and MC Grammar on Tuesday 12th November.

Ian McMillan will then visit school on Thursday 14th November  do a workshop with the children to write a school poem before cutting the ribbon at around 10:15am. The Barnsley Chronicle have been invited to attend. We are very excited!
