We had the most fantastic day celebrating the diamond jubilee at school! We came dressed in our poshest close and all looked fantastic.  In our assembly some of our children played a few songs on their clarinet and then year four performed God Save our Queen before the rest of us joined in! Each class had selected a king and queen and these were invited to the front of the hall!  We thanked school council and Mrs Upperdine for organising the special day for us!

As part of our celebrations Mrs Booth prepared a special picnic lunch on the final day before half term (Friday 1st June).  This consisted of sandwiche, pizza, sausage rolls and jelly.  As the weather wasn't too great we enjoyed our picnics in the hall!

In the afternoon lots of parents came along for high tea! They enjoyed cucumber sandwiches and iced tea while they looked around the patriotic art work in the classrooms and played summer games in the hall.
